It is extremely gratifying to have the freedom to think creatively and grow professionally within the organization. UNOPS allows individuals to do this. Our professional development comes through hard work and a real belief in the positive impact that we make in the field.

I can really see the value in our work – I feel I am a part of a great team of highly motivated people working at UNOPS and together we do make a difference. At the end of the day I know that we are doing something worthwhile.

I first joined UNOPS in our Iraq office, and prior to this worked in Afghanistan for another UN agency. After Iraq I moved to work in Dakar, Senegal, as Director of Operations Centre. I have recently moved again – and now work as the EU Partnership Advisor, based in Brussels.

In my current role I am interacting with senior management as well as partners in the European Commission, European Parliament, and UN colleagues in Brussels. I learn something new every day and that’s what makes life interesting.
