Working as part of the UN is terrific – it is a privilege and I feel that I make a difference by being part of a wider team, committed to goals of the UN.

Before joining UNOPS I worked in the private sector, in the health care industry. I have been with UNOPS in Kenya since 2005 and enjoy the exposure to a cross cultural management style and working as part of a global organization.

In my daily work I interact with our clients and local and international partners, as well as national and international colleagues. Working at UNOPS provides a rewarding career for those who are ready to interact with diverse cultures, face challenges and who want to shape new standards of work delivery. I have benefitted from UNOPS in-house training in both finance and procurement and am currently involved in the adoption of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
