partners we work with.
Our partners currently rely on our proven expertise to increase the speed, cost-effectiveness and sustainability of over 1,000 projects, often in the most challenging environments.
UNOPS builds the infrastructure needed for development, such as schools, hospitals and roads in post-disaster and conflict-affected areas, as well as in economies in transition. We provide expert procurement support to help governments buy the goods and services they need. We manage projects and programmes of every size, while simultaneously enhancing the capacity of developing countries to manage their own initiatives.

Mission and vision
Our mission is to help people build better lives and countries achieve sustainable development.
Our vision is a world where people can live full lives supported by appropriate, sustainable and resilient infrastructure and by the efficient, transparent use of public resources in procurement and project management
Areas of support
UNOPS is concentrating its efforts in areas where we have a clear mandate and expertise:
UNOPS has over 30 years of experience working in these areas, and is committed to innovation and the incorporation of external standards. UNOPS is self-financing and our effective delivery allows us to help our partners spread their limited development budgets further.

Levels of support
UNOPS tailors its support to the needs of its partners, and can deliver one key element of a project, offer expert advice or manage entire projects or programmes. As such, UNOPS offers three main kinds of services:
Implementation – implementing partners' projects efficiently and effectively, with the involvement of all stakeholders
Advisory – developing national capacity in our core mandated areas
Transactional – providing stand-alone human resource management and procurement services
With personnel spread across 80 countries, UNOPS offers its partners the logistical, technical and management knowledge they need, wherever they need it. A flexible structure and global reach means we can quickly respond to our partners' needs, while offering the benefits of economies of scale.
