UNOPS and The Boston Consulting Group join forces with new partnership

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and UNOPS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for future cooperation between the two organizations.

This new alliance will enable both parties to use their complementary strengths for joint advisory service work in the areas of health, disaster relief, environment, education, nutrition, policy, peacebuilding, infrastructure, national capacity and resilience.

Nikolaj Gilbert, UNOPS Director of Partnerships, said: "This global partnership will pave the way for new, exciting areas of cooperation. When you combine BCG's global expertise in organizational transformation and strategy across a wide number of sectors, with UNOPS strength and knowledge of implementation on the ground, we have a combined end-to-end capacity to provide valuable support to donors, recipient governments and multilateral organizations."

Götz Gerecke, BCG Partner and Managing Director, added: "BCG is committed to making tangible, lasting contributions to the world. Almost 900 employees, or about 15 percent of our worldwide staff, participated in approximately 300 social-impact projects last year.  To maximize such efforts, we collaborate with leading local, regional and international organizations, including global partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Muhammad Yunus and his social business network; Save the Children; Teach For All; the World Food Programme; the World Economic Forum and the World Wildlife Foundation.  We are delighted to be able to add UNOPS as a partner. We have a truly complimentary set of capabilities, which will allow us to add even more value where it is most needed."
