For the third year, the Annual Statistical Report on UN Procurement also features a thematic supplement on current issues in procurement. The focus for the 2010 supplement is the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The publication includes articles by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and Special Advisor on MDGs to the UN Secretary-General Jeffrey Sachs. The volume also brings together a number of case studies highlighting initiatives where procurement plays a central role in meeting the development goals.
