At the World Economic Forum on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Phnom Penh this week, Grete Faremo participated in a panel discussion on the region’s impact on the global economy.

"UNOPS stands ready to support across key areas such as green energy, clean water, social housing, and disaster management. We will help strengthen social inclusion, innovative implementation, and effective social impact investment," Ms. Faremo stated in the session, "Southeast Asia and the Big Picture."

Panellists included: Singapore's former Minister for Foreign Affairs; the Chairman of the Board of Directors from AMTD Group in Hong Kong; the Managing Director of Axiata Group in Malaysia; and Vice-Chairman of GE in Hong Kong.

The session was moderated by CNBC Asia Pacific.

Speaking about how ASEAN can become the fourth-largest single market in the world, Ms. Faremo stated: "The solutions we pick today will define the future for generations to come."
