How we support
In some of the world’s most challenging environments and humanitarian contexts, we leverage our infrastructure, procurement and project management services to help address complex health challenges and build sustainable and resilient health systems.
Managing health programmes
We provide a range of fund and grant management, hosting, and capacity-building services to ensure the effective delivery of health programmes.
Improving health infrastructure
We assess, plan, rehabilitate and build health infrastructure – including hospitals, health centres, and laboratories – as well as essential supporting infrastructure, such as energy, water and waste management facilities.
Supplying health goods and services
We procure medical equipment and supplies, and provide technical advisory support to help strengthen procurement processes for public healthcare systems.
Mission Hubs
Our dedicated Quality Healthcare Hub brings together knowledge, experience and expertise from across the UNOPS family. It supports efforts to strengthen the availability of essential health-related supplies, equipment and facilities necessary to deliver quality healthcare and services for all.

The Global Fund – Myanmar
As the Principal Recipient in Myanmar of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, UNOPS manages grants that are helping tackle epidemics in Myanmar by providing people with improved access to prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
With support from The Global Fund, the Regional Artemisinin-Resistance Initiative Towards Elimination of Malaria supports increased malaria service coverage in the Greater Mekong Subregion for remote populations in border areas and other at-risk populations, as well as case management through health volunteers and strengthening of national surveillance systems.
The Sanitation and Hygiene Fund raises, catalyzes and invests resources to help improve sanitation and hygiene in countries and areas that need it most, and have the least ability to respond.
Scaling Up Nutrition is a movement that inspires new collaborative ways to end malnutrition. With governments in the lead, it unites civil society, the United Nations, donors, businesses and researchers in a collective effort to improve nutrition around the world.
The Global Fund is a partnership designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics. As a local fund agent, UNOPS helps evaluate and monitor grant activities in 13 countries around the world.
With support from The Global Fund, the Tuberculosis Elimination Among Migrants programme works to reduce the tuberculosis burden among migrants in the Greater Mekong Subregion who have limited access to appropriate healthcare.
Stop TB Partnership brings together expertise from country, regional and global partners in a shared mission to end tuberculosis by 2030. It takes bold and smart risks to serve the needs and amplify the voices of the people, communities and countries affected by tuberculosis.
To improve health equity in Myanmar, the Access to Health Fund supports the most underserved and vulnerable populations using a rights-based approach. The programme helps bring services where they are needed most, with particular attention to conflict-affected areas.
ATscale is a global partnership for assistive technology. With millions in need of wheelchairs, hearing aids and more, the global movement catalyzes action to help people access and afford the life-changing assistive technology they need to improve health outcomes and participate in work, education and more.
The RBM Partnership to End Malaria is a global platform for coordinated action against malaria. With more than 500 partners, the Partnership mobilizes action and resources to help malaria-affected countries and end malaria for good.
In Jordan, new medical equipment provided by UNOPS with funding from the government of Japan is helping to improve healthcare at facilities run by the Royal Medical Services.
