A new partnership between UNOPS and Lebanon’s Ministry of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) will support government efforts to enhance institutional effectiveness, strengthen public service delivery and promote the adoption of innovative and sustainable digital solutions across Lebanon.

“This cooperation represents an important step in expanding the areas of partnership between the two sides, strengthening consultation, cooperation and the exchange of expertise to support OMSAR’s efforts in modernizing the public sector and enhancing its efficiency in service delivery,” said Dr. Fadi Makki, the Lebanese Minister for Administrative Reform.

Muhammad Usman Akram, Representative and Director of UNOPS Multi-country Office in Amman said: "This collaboration not only strengthens our long standing partnership with the government of Lebanon but also reflects UNOPS steadfast commitment to supporting Lebanon's advancement and digital transformation, for the benefit of the Lebanese people.”

Under a Memorandum of Understanding between both parties, activities will focus on several key areas of collaboration. This includes supporting strategic planning processes to guide public sector reforms, designing and delivering capacity-building initiatives to strengthen institutional capabilities, and supporting resource mobilization efforts.
