Syria: Funded by KSrelief, UNOPS started equipping three hospitals in Hama in coordination with the Ministry of Health HAMA, 7 July 2026.— With funding from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through King Salman humanitarian aid and relief Centre (KSrelief), UNOPS, in close coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Health, has started equipping three hospitals and establishing paediatric intensive care units (ICUs) in Hama governorate.

Syria: Funded by KSrelief, UNOPS started establishing the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Department at Ibn Roshed Hospital in Aleppo ALEPPO, 7 July 2026.— With funding from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through King Salman humanitarian aid and relief Centre (KSrelief) and in close coordination with the Syrian Ministry of Health, UNOPS has started equipping the Ibn Roshed Hospital for Cardiac Diseases and Surgery to establish a Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.

Bangladesh workshop highlights the role of women’s leadership in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals DHAKA, 8 July 2026.— The national workshop forms part of the Joint Programme, "Enhancing Women's Political Leadership through SDG 5 and SDG 16 Localisation in Bangladesh," implemented by UNOPS in coordination with UN Women and in partnership with Naripokkho, with support from the Joint SDG Fund.

UN spent nearly $23 billion on goods and services in 2025 Copenhagen, 7 July 2026.— United Nations organizations spent $22.7 billion on goods and services in 2025, according to a new report published by UNOPS on behalf of the UN system.

Yemen: Handing over the rehabilitated Aden Intra-Urban Road ADEN, 24 June 2026.— The Government of Japan, the Ministry of Public Works and Highways, and UNOPS marked the completion of “The Project for Rehabilitation of Aden Intra-Urban Roads,” which rehabilitated 2.4 km of intra-urban road in central Aden.
