From IT equipment to solar energy kits, UNOPS also procures items that will help improve access to basic services, strengthen information management capacities, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of government-implemented projects.

  • UNOPS impact in Madagascar

    • Installing Madagascar’s biggest solar-powered water pumping stations, which can irrigate more than 2,700 hectares of land – benefitting an estimated 22,000 people.
    • Supporting the rehabilitation of nearly 70 kilometres of rural roads – including 17 kilometres using geocell technology – benefiting an estimated 300,000 people.
    • Procured and delivered over 1,000 items of critical IT equipment to improve administrative local services for communities.
