The UNOPS Project of the Year Awards is part of UNOPS annual awards ceremony which recognizes outstanding achievement. To represent our work across all regions, six projects were chosen out of some 900 projects UNOPS implemented in 2022.

Finalists and winning projects are assessed on a range of criteria including gender, diversity and social inclusion considerations, as well as project impact and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals. The winning projects demonstrate excellence in project management and embody UNOPS mission, vision and values throughout their implementation.

The awards ceremony is an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of UNOPS colleagues who, through the projects we implement, continue to serve communities in need and advance sustainable development.

Jorge Moreira da Silva - UNOPS Executive Director

“Their commitment and steadfastness in the face of growing global challenges, gives me great pride,” he added.

Individual and team awards were also presented, recognizing outstanding dedication and achievement of UNOPS personnel.
