Learning is changing. From digital information to online programmes, technology has reshaped the way students and teachers engage with knowledge – making the integration of new ICT tools in schools an essential component of education.

Funded by the government of the Province of San Juan, the initiative aims to make educational technologies more accessible to teachers and students across the province. Through the procurement of ICT equipment, it seeks to strengthen digital literacy, promote technological equity, and enhance overall educational outcomes.

Educational laptops have been handed over to 4,000 primary school teachers while 5th and 6th grade students will soon benefit from 25,000 new netbooks.

“This is an investment in education and in the future of San Juan,” said Marcelo Orrego, Governor of the Province of San Juan.

“UNOPS is proud of the partnerships we have forged with provinces across Argentina to help strengthen digital education, and promote inclusive, equitable educational opportunities for all,” said Ignacio Lacasta Casal, UNOPS portfolio manager in Argentina.
