Many cities face the challenge of preparing young people for a fast-changing, technology-driven world while also addressing educational inequality.

In Buenos Aires, a new TUMO Centre for Creative Technologies will provide youth with free access to advanced training in creative and digital fields crucial for tomorrow’s world. The opening of this centre marks an important step in the city’s broader push toward innovative and inclusive education.

“We are transforming learning and betting on a future that is happening today. The goal is to educate creative, sensitive people with an open outlook towards the future,” said Jorge Macri, Chief of the government of Buenos Aires.

Working with the Ministry, UNOPS has equipped the new facility with top-tier instruments, software and educational tools. More than 600 types of IT and audio-visual technology – including desktop computers, cameras and drawing tablets – have been installed in the learning rooms, alongside 270 robotics kits, recording studios and musical instruments, among others. This offers a unique opportunity for young learners to shape their own educational journeys and develop skills in a dynamic and inspiring environment.

For more than 15 years, UNOPS has worked alongside provincial and national initiatives in Argentina to equip public schools with technological resources.
