The joint meeting of the Executive boards of UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS, UNICEF, UN Women and WFP will take place in New York at the UN Headquarters.
Hosted by the Governments of Norway, Iraq, Somalia and the United Arab Emirates, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the UN Population Fund and the International Committee of the Red Cross, this conference will focus on various aspects of conflict-related sexual violence. UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo will participate in a panel discussion on humanitarian innovation that will look at new ways of combating sexual and gender-based violence.
Women Deliver champions gender equality, as well as the health and rights of girls and women. UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo will attend a roundtable discussion to mark the handover of the Women Deliver Conference from Denmark (which hosted the conference in 2016) to Canada (which will host the conference in June 2019).
To address the gender gap in the maritime, ports, fishing and related industries, the World Maritime University is hosting an event focusing on the theme ‘Empowering women in the maritime community.’ UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo is delivering a keynote address at the event.

The Commission on the Status of Women is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women. UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo is attending two side events: One focused on infrastructure, sustainable development and the advancement of women on 11 March and one on social protection, public services and sustainable infrastructure on 13 March. Sanjay Mathur, Director for UNOPS Asia Region, will also participate in a side event on gender sensitive infrastructure in Asia and the Pacific on 22 March.
The Gender Dialogues aims to address the unfinished business of achieving gender parity. UNOPS will co-host the first of three events at UN City, in collaboration with the Embassies of Australia, Ireland and Norway in Denmark. UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo is delivering the opening remarks at the event.
Hosted by the United Kingdom and Jordan, this conference will demonstrate the scale of ambition for Jordan’s economic transformation. It will bring together an audience of political leaders, bilateral partners, donors, CEOs and private sector leaders interested in opportunities in Jordan.

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting brings together leaders of global society. This year's theme is: 'Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.' UNOPS Executive Director Grete Faremo will be participating in this event.

In collaboration with local partners, UNOPS organizes the UNOPS Possibilities (UP) Forum in targeted countries, with the goal of providing traditionally disadvantaged businesses with ideas and tools to encourage their success. This UP Forum in Myanmar is conducted in partnership with the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID).
