The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) is the UN's yearly conference to assess progress in dealing with climate change. UNOPS Executive Director Jorge Moreira da Silva will speak at and participate in a number of events at COP28. UNOPS will also host several side events at its pavilion in the Blue Zone.

In Yemen, the rehabilitation of key public health facilities is enabling doctors to provide better care.

The World Bank’s International Development Association approved an additional $150 million grant to support the second phase of the Yemen Emergency Human Capital Project.

With funding from the government of Japan, UNOPS will rehabilitate roads in the city of Aden, helping connect more than half a million people to public services.

Rehabilitated infrastructure provides improved access to essential water services and supplies for more than 1,000 households.
