UNOPS has worked in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) since 1999, providing services in procurement, project management, infrastructure and human resources. We support our partners in a range of areas, including road and building construction, health, conflict prevention and resolution, disaster risk management, water and sanitation infrastructure, and emergency humanitarian assistance.

UNOPS also supports multi-country programmes that have activities within DR Congo, including Small Grants, Peace and Security, and Water and Energy. This includes providing technical support services to MONUSCO and contributing to security and stabilization, through the mitigation of threats posed by explosive hazards, together with UNMAS.

Our team in DR Congo also provides operation support for projects in Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Madagascar and Rwanda.
