UNOPS in Honduras helps partners achieve their development goals across a range of sectors. This includes providing support for sustainable infrastructure projects in the areas health, education, social services, violence prevention, adaptation to climate change and information technology.
UNOPS also supports the specialized procurement of medicines, medical and surgical equipment, computer equipment, as well as the development and acquisition of software.
The team further provides technical assistance in the creation of public-private partnerships for infrastructure and investment projects.
UNOPS impact in Honduras
- Procured more than 2,300 items of medical and surgical materials for more than 750,000 beneficiaries of the Honduran Social Security Institute and for the entire health care system of the Ministry of Health.
- Developed information technology projects for five state institutions.
