In an effort to streamline ongoing projects, and help the country achieve sustainable development, UNOPS formally established a presence in the Ukraine in 2017. The Ukraine team further aims to work alongside partners to improve rule of law, crisis recovery efforts, health and the environment throughout the country.

UNOPS supports the Government and the people of Ukraine by providing a range of services in procurement, contracting, recruitment and administration, as well as in the implementation of technical assistance, humanitarian and investment projects.

Key Information

  • UNOPS impact in Ukraine

    • Procured and installed medical equipment, helping more than 50,000 successful annual examinations and surgeries carried out in Ukrainian hospitals.
    • Helped more than 10,000 women, children and retired people receive support from the Global Environment Facility programming.
    • Provided personal protection outfitting and equipment to more than 5,500 uniformed officials (police, border guards, and demining officials).
