Integrating technology into classrooms is about much more than modernizing teaching. It can help create more equal learning opportunities, foster digital skills, and support better educational  outcomes.

In Argentina’s Neuquén Province, UNOPS is working with the provincial government to upgrade the technological infrastructure of public schools to create modern, stimulating learning environments for 250,000 students and 30,000 teachers.

From netbooks, tablets and interactive displays to 3D printers and robotics kits, the initiative will provide school personnel and students with a range of technologies adapted to different grade levels and educational modalities.

The first schools have already started to receive netbooks. In rural areas, these tools can help bridge the digital divide by giving students equal access to technology.

By equipping classrooms with modern technologies , we are helping teachers create more engaging learning experiences while giving students the opportunity to develop skills that will be increasingly important for their future,” said Ignacio Lacasta, UNOPS Portfolio manager in UNOPS Argentina.
